DEAR ABBY: A long time ago, when I was serving as an unpaid associate at a pioneering church, I was asked by an acquaintance to study the Bible at the Celebrity Shinwoo Association. It was a sweet offer to me at the time, but I refused

In fact, it was a good (?) opportunity to earn a reward and make friends with Christian celebrities in an economically difficult situation, but if I go there, the situation will be difficult for the pioneering church I served, so I thought it was not the right thing to do for the pastor and the church members.

But later I was forced out of the church, and after that, in the face of financial difficulties, I went about the construction board for a while, doing whatever came at hand.

Nevertheless, I have never regretted that decision because I was able to meet so many precious people who are as good as famous celebrities.

While working as a daily worker, I was able to hear various stories and valuable life stories from the boss who failed in business to the young man fighting alcoholism, Mr. Kim, who suffered from depression due to divorce, and Mr. Park, Mr. Cho, and Mr. Choi, who failed in the past.

I shed tears in sorrow because I didn't have a thousand won, and I still remember lying on the street at dawn crying and singing hymns while lying on the street with dirt on my way home while working up and down.

So, at least, we can get a little inkling of what is the sadness without money, the psychological pressure of poverty, the upset of his father who cannot buy him delicious food even if he wants to, and the vague fear of a future where no light can be seen no matter how hard he struggles.

Because of this, as a pastor, I dare not preach about our lives and beliefs to the church members. Of course, who a pastor would discuss life and faith carelessly, at least as the days went by, I made a deeper and more careful thought about life and faith than before, and I tried to understand their lives as much as possible without hasty conclusions and prejudices about the lives of others.

Someone may say that my story is the height of mental victory, but I am just grateful to God for guiding me to learn what life is through these experiences in my personal confession of faith.

People who have been sick can understand the feelings of those who are sick, so they can fully understand what their pain is. Thanks to this, you will be able to comfort those who are hurt and suffering more than anyone else.

We were talking about the past in church and a butler asked me, "Pastor, aren't you regretting your choice then?" So I said I wasn't.

Because that choice gave me a more valuable experience, so I could learn and understand a little more part of my life.

I'm still constantly learning about our lives and beliefs. Perhaps this meaningful journey of study will come to an end the day I stand before the Lord.

Everyone has regrets. And anyone can regret it, and they can be obsessed with feelings of regret and regret for a long time.

But rather than staying there and being pessimistic about your own life and just being in despair, I hope you will love and care for yourself more. And I hope you can go further and enjoy your life in abundance.

In fact, it seems to depend on yourself which past events are defined only as "regret" or "teaching" through this. It would be unfortunate if you only defined it as regret and stayed there, but I am sure that if you use it as a lesson and nourish it, you will transform into a healthy self.

You can also be a warm consolation to those who are going through the same thing.

I was conscious of people who nagged me that I was not like a pastor, so I decided to write this article in a pastor-like concept after a long time. I will continue to use these stories from time to time.
