Things I need to learn as I get older

One book says that humans have two abilities.
One thing is called fluid intelligence, which corresponds to short-term memory, the ability of the eyes and hands to process quickly. This ability obviously declines with age. So new problem-solving, coding, gaming, sports, these are the areas that you're overwhelmingly advantageous to when you're young.

Another thing is called definitive knowledge. This part corresponds to abilities such as wisdom, resilience, composure, insight, and empathy. It is said that as you get older, you get better at this part. Accordingly, management, leadership, politics, coaching, and writing are areas where you can do better with age. Of course, getting older does not automatically improve, but people who do not stop learning and build wisdom and insight.

Looking back, I think it's okay to speed up and compete, live goal-oriented and live crazy, sacrifice a little work-life balance, bump into each other without giving up, and make trial and error because you're full of energy until you're in your 40s.

On the other hand, if it's over 50, I think this is necessary.

1. Design an individual's independent life, not the role of members of the organization, parents, spouses, and children. I write my own history, not others' history.
2. escape from comparison and jealousy
3. You get out of excessive speed competition, property competition, and success competition.
4. Let go of responsibility. The world works well without me. I don't try to be a good parent and a good leader. A child is a child and a member is a member. I don't take it upon myself. I don't expect it.
5. I don't care about others' recognition. I live with conviction.
6. Too impatient and not in a hurry. Have room and space.
7. I make a habit of studying and reading for more than an hour a day.
8. Increase the output by the input.
9. Grasp and be generous rather than stingy.
10. Don't try to do everything well. Choose strategic incompetence and get out of perfectionism.
11. I make a waktie and interact with young people, me and others.
12. I have a hobby that I can play well by myself.
13. Take care of your health.
14. Establish an economic foundation to live on for the next 30 years.
15. A secondary character who can work even after leaving office, creates a foundation.
16. Even if there is an issue, I try to draw it. I become a little insensitive with the belief that it will work out. Don't make a face and live a pleasant life.
17. You find a little pleasure.
18. Find your own way to recover easily without falling into burnout.
19. He knows how to give up. He refrains from making reckless challenges. He should stop such things as hopelessness, harmful relationships, unreasonable goals, and dangerous speculation about becoming rich in a short period of time.
20. "I love and acknowledge myself. There is no reason for me to live my life as if I were doing homework while flogging myself until I got older."

In a word, 'speed' until your 40s and 'direction' after 50 seem to be important.

Not long ago, I met my former advisor, who is close to 80. He says he rides a white Porsche. People around him say, "I swear if you ride that," "Are you bragging about having a lot of money?" "He seems to be pretending to be good." But he bought it because he really wanted to ride it.

Of course, I wouldn't pretend to drive because I'm lazy, but I thought the professor was cool.
What's the point of living your life being mindful of others' eyes? If you're not breaking the law, you're living what you want to do.

I also want to live independently, confidently, and freely.
At the same time, I would like to share the knowledge and wisdom I have accumulated with my juniors to help them stand on our shoulders. 🙏
