Jensen Huang, a leading Taiwanese-American CEO along with Lisa Su, CEO of the semiconductor company AMD, was born in Taiwan in 1963 to a father who was a chemical application engineer and a mother who was an English teacher. He graduated from Stanford University in 1992 after studying electrical engineering at Oregon State University. Jensen Huang joined AMD shortly after graduating from Stanford and started a semiconductor design day. Working as an employee, he felt his own start-up DNA. Jensen Huang founded Nvidia in a small apartment in California, the United States, in 1993, with graphic chipset design engineers Curtis Freem and Chris Malachowski.

He aimed to create CPUs specializing in multimedia processing to challenge Intel's throne, which controls the CPU market, the brain of computers. Naturally, however, Intel's wall was too high for the just-started Nvidia, which eventually turned to the development of GPUs specialized for your favorite games. As such, Nvidia unveiled its first graphics chipset called the NV1 in 1995. But it failed completely. Despite its high price, its performance fell short of expectations.

The company that reached out to NVIDIA in crisis is Japanese game developer Sega. Sega bet on NVIDIA's growth potential and decided to invest millions of dollars. Later, in 1997, NVIDIA successfully released RIVA128, the successor to NV1, and began making its name known in earnest. It was a masterpiece created in the worst crisis. Then, in 1999, with the launch of GeForce 256, the origin of NVIDIA's flagship GPU brand GeForce, it began to grow into a graphics card market leader.
