President Lee Jae-myung said yesterday at a luncheon meeting attended by 164 heads of local governments across the country, "When I thought about it, the happiest time was when I was the mayor of Seongnam." Looking at an article that said it was the best time to be able to do everything they wanted to do while meeting citizens in person, I thought about when I was the happiest while working. I thought about when or when I made money from gift options during the dot-com bubble hit, 911 and Lehman crisis.
I was happiest when I spent it in the international department of the National Investment Trust. When I dreamed of becoming a stock fund manager at a foreign exchange dealer and moved on, saying it doesn't matter if I was scared again, I had no choice but to buy additional good stocks that foreigners wanted to buy through foreign funds because they could only buy 10% of domestic stocks. I was lucky to be able to do the whole process of creating and managing foreign funds together, and it was even better to be able to invest directly in US stocks with company money. It was a time when I learned a lot from talking to foreign brokers in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore because of the U.S. stock investment, and I learned the mechanisms of the stock market and the financial market by looking at the data they constantly send me.
I liked macros, but I also realized that they were definitely more suitable for macroeconomics than microphones. And I was lucky to have traded gifts in advance through a gift that I met like fate. I learned a lot from the 79th graders of economics at Seoul National University who I met at that time, drinking and interacting with them. I wasn't very close to Lee Chang-hoon, who was the head of the civil servant pension, but we all took one seat later. I remember that the 79th graders were exceptionally smart at that time.
Now it's all gone. It's been 30 years. I've missed a few people. We'll meet them one day. Maybe it's the fall, or maybe it's the stock that's lost so much that we're getting sentimental. Well, it doesn't matter to me that I'm out of stock. Rather, after football, the stock went back out of stock, and the options were profitable... Anyway, I wrote down how I felt while watching the news of the happy days of the president. Pechins, who will have a gloomy weekend due to a lack of stocks, will have tomorrow's sun rise. Have a nice weekend. I'm going to get a drink now...
