<About the current Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. that everyone is saying one thing>

It seems that it is a trend to talk about the fall of Samsung Electronics. It is true no matter what they say, Samsung Electronics is really falling. How could Samsung Electronics, which used to be so popular, fall into today's teasing situation? Everyone who knows that it is the CEO's lack of capacity and nothing happened today.

Somehow, I had the opportunity to meet with retired officials who worked with Samsung Electronics in the past, and based on the various conversations, here's how I feel extremely personal. The pride seemed to be great, perhaps because all of them were successful businessmen who received enormous salaries and scary severance pay. Indeed, I agree that Samsung Electronics, which barely managed to work in the middle-income countries on the periphery, made a contribution while it became the world's top company, and that pride has its fair grounds. Only a few variables cannot explain the successes and failures of a big company like Samsung Electronics. Such tremendous success could not be explained simply by a few problems, as it happened only when numerous fields of effort and a number of favorable factors coincided luckily, and the recent difficult situation was caused by numerous unfavorable factors.

If I have to pick one of the most personal problems, I would definitely like to pick the 'organization' issue. A few years ago, when one of my juniors, who was in charge of semiconductor development at Samsung Electronics, was eliminated from the promotion of executive director and quit, when I talked about the unfairness of personnel management at a drinking party, I thought to myself, 'You must be saying that because you were eliminated.' The junior had been scouted by Samsung Electronics after working as a doctor in the United States and working for a well-known semiconductor company in Silicon Valley.
On the other hand, almost all of the people in Samsung Electronics' initial planning office where I worked were promoted to the highest level and then retired. Some of them served as the top executives of Samsung Electronics and many of them served as affiliates. In any case, he had resigned as Samsung's top management. In other words, it seems that Samsung's current organization focuses on a system in which the old officials are famous. Given that Samsung is a global company, not many of the highest-ranking executives have been recruited. In particular, compared to high-tech companies in the United States, it can be seen as an organization in a well that is almost like a stagnant water. Such personnel management may have been very advantageous for reducing risk factors and rapid decision-making and organizational integration in the past, but this stagnant organization seems to have been a very difficult obstacle for Samsung Electronics to open a new chapter after becoming the world's best company. I wondered how many intelligent and capable people in the world there are, and if the people who have grown within the organization called Orojasim Seong-jeon grow to the highest level, the organization will inevitably become an organization of old people in the well. It seems natural that Samsung's future does not look so bright unless the current head of Samsung Electronics does not seem to have the ability to make such a drastic recruitment appointment, and the person in power does not have the will to do so. Still, I am also proud of the fact that I once belonged to a company that was praised as the best in the world.
