Some people treat those who read a lot of books as a desk bite, or as if they are helpless in reality. In my first year of high school, I thought the same thing. Because it looked cool for some reason. The first sentence of Dodeokgyeong is "Dokdo Island is an emergency, and a master's name is an emergency name." This is a sentence I briefly used as a motto in my first year of high school. My hands and feet cringe when I think about that time. What matters is nuance, and while speaking, I was so proud of myself in the dog poop philosophy. "True wisdom is learned through life, and actions, not words, are real." This is exactly what I was thinking when I was a first grader in high school. What's interesting is that I also learned the theory of limitations of reading from books. And, ironically, I read a lot of books in my first year of high school.
It's too much generalization to get rich from reading. But Warren Buffet and Todd Combs argue that. Considering that they are extremely rich, it's an argument worth hearing.
Warren Buffett said, "Read 500 pages a day if you want to become rich." He said, "If you read 500 pages of business reports, news articles, analysis materials, books and other materials a day, you can become rich."
Buffett: "Read 500 pages a day. That's how knowledge works. Knowledge is going to build like compound interest. I don't think many of you are going to do it, even though you can all do it."
Todd Combs: "I spent 12 hours a day reading 1,000 pages." -> $1.7 billion in assets (W2.1535 trillion), a man who became a billionaire by following Warren Buffett's advice.
"It's my job to read 12 hours a day." - Todd Combs
What you do at Harvard is an endless amount of reading and writing. Most lectures at Harvard allow you to read a substantial volume of required reading lists.
I will make sure. If you read 500 pages a day, you will at least be good at investing in stocks. The reason why the 50 billion-richer nomadic people succeeded was because they read a huge amount of materials and wrote analysis reports of more than 100 pages a day.
