The Jeju Air plane that exploded during an emergency landing at Muan Airport is Boeing's B737-800.

In the case of this accident, a bird strike during landing is cited as the cause, and related authorities need to closely investigate the possibility of faulty maintenance due to airframe defects or chronic shortage of manpower.

In order to reduce costs, poor management issues such as the use of cheap parts and overwork of maintenance personnel seem to have been steadily raised within Jeju Air. (*

No matter what the cause of the accident is, Jeju Air's management will have to take the biggest responsibility.
