Yesterday I saw a post saying that US Bitcoiners have lost the Bitcoin they've been saving in their wallets for the past 4-5 years.
I was using my Letzer wallet and I put the wrong pin 3 times so it was factory reset, I tried to recover it to another wallet with a mnemonic but I couldn't find it either so I lost hundreds of millions of money.
I don't have any other retirement pension because I'm a private business person, and I thought Bitcoin was my retirement fund and the way out of poverty, so I saved it as much as I could, but I lost it and couldn't do anything for a while. It was a heartbreaking story.
If you lose bitcoin like cash, you're done. Often you'll have to log in to your bitcoin wallet and practice sending bitcoin, and you'll have to keep your mnemonic offline in 2-3 places to check.
If you don't like this effort, you can lose your bitcoin. It can be my story, not someone else's. These people think it's rather safe to buy bitcoin ETFs.
