- Immigrants play a key role in American innovation.
- At least one U.S. unicorn founder from 65 countries (except the U.S.).

Here is a list of countries that have produced more than 10 U.S. unicorn founders by continent:

• Europe: the UK has the most with 31, followed by Germany (18), France (17), Russia (14), Ukraine (12) and Ireland (10).
• Asia: India has the most with 90, followed by Israel (52), China (27), and Taiwan (12).
• Africa: No country has more than 10 founders, South Africa has the most with five.
• (North and South) America: Canada has the most with 42, and Brazil has the most with 9.
• Oceania: No country has more than 10 founders, Australia has eight and New Zealand has six.
