In the wake of the first insolvency of a large online
Personal 視角 of looking at the "Timon Wemakeff Scandal"
In the wake of the first insolvency of a large online shopping company in Korea, numerous consumers and small and medium-sized vendors entering online shopping malls continue to feel anxious and confused
When the incident occurred, the government pulled out the card of financial aid that actually did little to help, and pretended it would be of great help, but it was very embarrassing because it didn't even have a work manual prepared before the incident
In the National Assembly, the first-timers who don't even know the nature of the case are calling out representatives of online shopping companies and just choking them with their teeth without any countermeasures
Personally, I don't think the essence of this is the incompetence or breach of trust by Timon Wemakeff's owners or executives, but rather the government's failure to provide institutional stability against the surge in online transactions in the last 12 decades. (The bankruptcy of large online shopping companies is very common even in foreign countries such as the United States.)
Specifically, the government should have set rules in advance on mutual responsibility and the burden of losses in case of emergency between online shopping companies, credit card companies and payment agencies, and the government, which has neglected them, is at fault
In addition, credit card companies and payment companies have not prepared for damage or risk at all, and basically, when a large online shopping company goes bankrupt, it undermines financial stability as well as social repercussions
They didn't do anything about it
For the record, credit card companies and payment companies have ignored the external assessment that the financial health of the two companies is at a level where the company's chances of survival are long questionable
It was a so-called "gray rhino" that could have foreseen signs of danger in advance, but failed to fully respond by overlooking its effects. Only poor 草 are fuming again this time
I think the affected 草 should file a collective damages suit against the government
