The reason why I collect Samsung Electronics these days is as follows.
Gundlak 曰 "still believe U.S. recession is approaching" - news title.
Recession => Rate cut => Dollar weaken => Emerging strength
I thought of the next story. (I think)
Emerging bullish => Samsung Electronics rises => KRW rises
The reason why I collect Samsung Electronics these days is as follows.
First, Samsung Electronics remained at the price of three years ago. Samsung Electronics has built more factories, improved technology, and the global economy has grown, but its stock price remains the same.
Second, Hynix, Micron, and TSMC rose a lot. Only Samsung Electronics did not rise much. I think it's Samsung Electronics' turn next.
Third, Samsung Electronics' operating profit in 2023 was expected to be 6 trillion won, 39 trillion won this year (2024), 55 trillion won next year (2025), and 60 trillion won next year (2026). (Naver Securities)
Fourth, Samsung Electronics has 70 trillion won in cash alone. Compared to Hynix's 7 trillion won, this is an overwhelming amount of cash. Samsung Electronics is able to engage in a variety of investment activities.
Fifth, Samsung Electronics is expected to benefit the most if funds enter the emerging market due to interest rate cuts and the weak dollar.
Sixth, Samsung Electronics is undervalued, being treated as a second-class company that lacks technology while not equipped with HBM technology. The current stock price is 1.5 times PBR, which is half of Hynix's 2.9 times PBR.
Seventh, I think Samsung Electronics' performance will improve as HBM sales will occur and memory sales will increase in the future.
Eighth, Samsung Electronics' dividend yield is 1.77%. If you think that the value of the won rises, you can think of buying Samsung Electronics as investing in the won. You can think of a dividend yield of 1.77% as interest. Dividends are expected to grow along with an increase in net profit.
Ninth, unlike US stocks, there is no capital gains tax when selling Samsung Electronics shares.
For these reasons, I am collecting Samsung Electronics these days.
