Incompetence does not simply mean that you are
Incompetence does not simply mean that you are not good at work. Lack of immediate skills is not as important as you think. Rather, it is much more difficult to work with someone who is complacent about what they have now.
However, those who do not know the fact when they are not skilled, those who know but pretend not to know, those who are in a sense of inferiority, those who do not listen to others, and those who want to prove something in that state harm the organization.
When a person who makes a decision without thinking that things don't work out as they think, or a person who doesn't understand what their judgment will lead to, becomes a leader, dangerous situations arise if they have the same sense of duty.
One of the biggest characteristics of incompetent people is to fill their surroundings with incompetent people. In common sense, if you are incompetent, or if you don't want to work, you are likely to invite someone who does a good job as a team member, or someone who comes up with a good opinion and proceeds with it on their own, but in reality, it is the opposite.
Incompetence means that the ability to recognize people who are good at work is significantly reduced, but there is no reason that a person who is good at work cannot recognize such people. That is why in the end, incompetent people fill up the surroundings with incompetent people. There are also a lot of people in the world who want to be under incompetent leaders because it is good to turn their backs on them and because it is enough to fill their own private interests. The incompetent leader who saw the figure also thinks, "There are as many people as there are," and is confirmed that "my thoughts are right" when they listen to them.

As much as you value that you have done as much as you can, I think you should leave when you leave. There is no need to settle for the small and precious things you have in your hand. However, you have to look into yourself and ask questions about where you will leave and what kind of life you want to live.
Blaming the leader's incompetence solves nothing.
