I've been investing in LABU since 2021. I've invested 800 million won in Labu alone in installments, but the stock price has fallen by about 98%. My assets also fell by 80%, losing about 600 million won. It was very hard to sustain a -80% loss that lasted for 3 years. I think there were more than 10 days when it fell by 20% a day, and there were several times when the total assets were halved.
However, in the four months from November last year to the end of February this year, the company grossed W800 million, approximately doubling its assets in a short period of time. Its valuation once exceeded W1 billion, but it has now fallen again, bringing Rabu's return to W850 million, or 0%. Currently, the stock balance is much higher because of the large amount of additional deposits and other stocks.
It's been a really difficult process to hold out for three years of -80% losses. So far, the 10% drop in the index feels like nothing. We're only keeping Labu, which we already have, and we've been collecting blue-chip stocks like Google since October last year. We're not buying Labu anymore. Soon, in October, we won't add a single week in a year.
I hold it because I think it's likely that interest rates will fall and stocks will rise in the future, but after selling it in 2028, I'm not going to do 3x leverage anymore. I've had my money back with endless watering over the past two or three years, but other stocks are feeling relatively deprived because they've more than doubled without watering down.
